Upper Coomera Community Centre Lighting Upgrade including Custom-made pendants

Upper Coomera Community Centre Lighting Upgrade including custom-made ceiling rose pendants

Aglo’s Project Lighting team were pleased to collaborate with Gold Coast City Council to upgrade the existing fluorescent pendant lighting to LED lighting in the main entry pavilion, hallways and some office areas for Upper Coomera Community Centre. Aglo was selected to work on this project with Gold Coast Council due to our ability, quality and outcome of the Robina Auditorium project which was completed in March 2021,

The Upper Coomera Community Centre has been open since 2013 serving the heart of the community. The facilities are bright, modern and welcoming and provides locals with a variety of activities to participate in and rooms to hire such as small consultation rooms, art workshop, computer room and large multi-use conference rooms.

As part of the client brief for this project, the lighting needed to look the same as the existing light fittings and be located at the same locations whilst conforming with Australian Standards for illumination levels. To meet the requirements of the client brief our Lighting Design team completed a lighting design concept and plan including a proposed lighting layout, 3D render and pseudo-colour render to determine optimum illumination for the lowest power consumption. The feature pendants located in the main entry pavilion are all designed at different mounting heights and work in perfectly with the feature timber ceiling. Other fittings included in this upgrade project include Mondolux Esen Eco White, Mondolux Bron Adjustable Downlights White and Mondolux Siena Midi Adjustable Downlights White. The fittings were supplied in a mixture of CRI80 & CRI90 with 3000K and 4000K colour temperatures. We also supplied the outdoor lighting for the front entry which incorporates our Mondolux Thomas Maxi outdoor spotlights (IP66 and IK07 ratings) and Corelli Mini surface mount downlights (IP65 and IK08 ratings).
