Aglo’s Project Lighting team were pleased to collaborate with the museum, lighting design and joiner to deliver the amazing Home of Horridus – Triceratops: Fate of the Dinosaurs Exhibition.
When lighting Horridus’ 65 million year old bones we found that when we shone the light directly on them, the light was simply absorbed, like a black hole – however when we grazed the light along the surface it caught the texture and irregularities and glowed beautifully.
We specified Mondolux Infinito Albi Adjustable Recessed Black CRI95+ Dim to Warm with honeycomb louvre and line diffuser – DMX control: a very technical specification, with ultimate lighting control:
-High CRI
-Low Glare
-Dim to warm
-Honeycomb louvre to reduce glare, and line diffuser to elongate beam distribution
-Thermal tested for continuous use in the foam and timber display plinth
