Unique luminaires for Nineteen at The Star

The Aglo Custom team worked with Point of View, Mim Design and The Star Entertainment Group to design and manufacture all the custom lighting pieces for Nineteen at The Star, The Star Gold Coast.

The focal point of the space is the 7m x 3.5m chandelier which contains 4400 frosted and clear glass tubes. The tubes were individually placed in a particular position to create the flowing form of the grandiose piece. Other notable works include:

• A pendant which guides guests to the bar reception featuring 18 hand blown glass shades mounted to a three-metre-long gold plated support tube.
• Pendants adorning the main dining area with open shades which were rolled on an angle to wrap around illuminated frosted glass tubes.
• Ceiling features in the private dining room which were formed from a random assortment of spun shades that were then laser cut to create petal-like shapes. LED strip on the back of each petal created a soft, indirect light wash.

Aglo Systems also supplied Mondolux light fittings for all the general lighting throughout the venue.
