The core of our business is our growing team located in Dingley (Head office) and the Gold Coast consisting of inhouse specialists in lighting design, industrial design, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, project management, procurement, and sales. With end-to-end project management, from light planning to installation, our aim is to simplify the lighting procurement process and ‘continually improve your lighting experience’.

Role Duties and Responsibilities 

Working closely with the National Sales Director, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Engage with Specifiers, Electrical Engineers, Electrical Contractors, Retailers and Shopfitters
  • Achieve sales growth by developing relationships with new clients in order to grow the order intake and maximise customer satisfaction
  • Prospecting activities including cold calling, product & concept demonstrations and customer analysis
  • Accurately maintain CRM with all sales activities, account plans, forecasts, and account management information
  • Manage your own local client meetings, call cycles, and occasional regional trips
  • Manage your time accordingly between Business Development and Account Management (customer retention and growth)
  • Provide input, insight, strategic direction, and assistance to the business about any market developments, where the individual can demonstrate a strategy that would lead the business toward new product and project opportunities

Skills and Experience

  • Strong technical lighting knowledge
  • Relevant experience in sales/business development of retail, commercial and government sectors with a proven track record
  • Network of contacts within the electrical engineering and lighting specifications market
  • Confidence that enables you to handle objections, influence and negotiate with clients to achieve a desired outcome
  • Focused and goal oriented, looking for a career path to sales management
  • A team player that possesses a positive attitude and respects the company culture
  • Willingness to go above and beyond for customers to exceed their expectations
  • Excellent communication, influencing, negotiating, and computer skills
  • Professional and impeccable presentation
