BCA Compliance

The Building Code of Australia (BCA) is a uniform set of technical provisions for the design and construction of buildings and other structures throughout Australia, whilst allowing for variations in climate and geological or geographic conditions.

In short it contains regulations on health, safety, amenity and sustainability within the design, construction and performance of buildings. The lighting regulations, relevant to energy efficient design, can be found under section J6 of the BCA.

We are proud to be able to state that every design we produce is according to the BCA’s standards and requirements relating to lighting. This means that we strongly take into account the energy efficiency and sustainability of our products.

Earlier this year the BCA was incorporated into the NCC (National Construction Code).  The NCC has been developed by the Council of Australian Governments to incorporate all on-site construction requirements into a single code.
